10:15 – 11:15The Insecurity in Security

In the EP industry, there is an anxiety that causes good agents to second guess themselves. “I should act, but if I’m wrong… I need this job.” This anxiety causes leaders to shy away from essential conversations with our clients. A contagion which breeds an irrational fear of being questioned or receiving poor feedback. The Insecurity in Security predominantly defines the culture in Executive Protection and the security industry at large.

This presentation is meant to assist those in bridging this gap and making them more successful in the process.

Executive Protection in Healthcare

Historically, security departments within the healthcare sector have not usually been involved in executive protection. That is beginning to change as healthcare executives and high-profile doctors are now being publicized and threatened at growing rates. Executive & physician compensation, vaccine mandates, and gender-affirming care are just some of the issues placing these individuals at greater risk than ever before. This presentation will address the growing need for executive protection considerations in healthcare organizations.

Geo Politics & Gin: Analytic Lessons from the History of a Cocktail

According to Winston Churchill, “The gin and tonic has saved more Englishmen’s lives, and minds, than all the doctors in the Empire.” As such, the gin and tonic is actually a critical variable in understanding the history of the British Empire, but such minor variables (and the series events needed for them to happen) are often ignored in geopolitical and security analysis today. Learn how to assess those seemingly minor variables and the causal mechanisms that lead to long-term impacts.
